Galería: Nokia N97 mini

Hoy se ha presentado el nuevo Nokia N97 mini, pese a que le conocimos oficialmente en el Nokia Worlde incluso vimos algunas fotos antes de su lanzamiento. Ya conocemos cuanto cuesta el N97 mini con Vodafone, el precio en formato libre es de 499€, una evolución arreglando errores del N97 que curiosamente compartirán vitrina. Quiero decir, ¿quién quiere un N97 siendo mucho más grande y molesto de llevar?

El N97 mini se siente sólido, con un teclado físico QWERTY del que al principio no estaba nada convencido que me fuese a gustar, pero al que le estoy cogiendo “el truco” y no parece tan malo como me podía parecer, incluso el cambio del anterior “pad” por cuatro teclas de dirección me ha parecido un detalle mucho mejor. Compatible con redes HSPA, cámara de 5 megapíxeles (que ya probamos en nuestro Twitter) con doble LED y óptica Carl Zeiss… En fin, carácter de N97 en un tamaño más reducido.

Os dejo con la galería de fotos del primer contacto, este fin de semana este móvil va a sufrir porque pienso exprimirlo, la semana que viene os cuento que tal la experiencia.

Nokia N900 - Novas Datas de Lan�amento (USA e UK)

Está chegando…

Segundo o site UnwiredView.com o Nokia N900 estará disponível no Reino Unido dia 16 de novembro de 2009.

O site também informa que os clientes britânicos poderão comprar o aparelho sem custos pela operadora Orange em um plano de 35 euros mensais (que inclui 900 min. de ligações) e um contrato de dois anos de fidelidade.

Ou poderão também pagar apenas 10 euros pelo novo aparelho pela operadora O2 em um plano de 30 euros mensais e também um contrato de dois anos.

Mobile vs. Computer

Technology rocks. Why?  Coz’ they innovate the way how we live out our lives. Instead of using computers, laptops and other stuffs, you can almost acquire the same features on some mobile phones which can be much cheaper and much affordable compared to laptops. Talk about convenience, a cellular phone is much more recommended. To give you a very convincing and precise info. Here’s my top 10 advantages of a mobile phone versus computer.

 

1.Aside from 3G/HSDPA features for high-speed data, a cellular phone has GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity for voice and data which a laptop doesn’t have.

2.Most phones nowadays have integrated digital cameras which can go up to 12 megapixels, backed up by professional optics( like Carl Zeiss on N86 8mp, how cool is that?), flash and sometimes, optical zoom. Great isn’t it?

3.A mobile phone’s camera can now record videos in DVD quality. There is already one that records in HD.

4.Most phones now have GPS navigation system built-in. Or it could be installed easily.

5.Apart from a CMOS(Complimentary Metal Oxide Semiconductor) sensor, most phones of today have a series of in-built sensors like light sensor (e.g. in N900), proximity sensor, accelerometer motion sensor (in most touchscreen phones like N5800) and magnetometer.

6.A phone user doesn’t suffer as much as a computer user in the assembly and disassembly of the device since everything he needs from his phone is already there like messaging, games, music, calendar, internet and much more.. No more complicated hardware and software setup. If you want to change its casing you can simply disassemble it with your bare hands.

7.A mobile phone can connect to a cellular network, a remote network, a PC, DLNA-enabled devices and appliances, Bluetooth devices, and another phone.

8.A phone can weight less than 200 grams only.

9.A phone can be used almost anytime and can be carried practically anywhere. But beware of snatchers. ha-ha.

10.All of the abovementioned features are packed in rather a relatively small body that can be fitted inside one’s pocket or bag. Very convenient and innovative isn’t it?

Sorry if I was just a little biased about Nokia phones. haha.. I love their cellular unit when it comes to slick look and performance plus their super cool innovations. ^^

Nokia Perluas Layanan Life Tools ke Indonesia

Nokia memperluas layanan Nokia Life Tools ke pasar Asia Tenggara (NLT), dengan sasaran masyarakat pedesaan di kawasan ini. Indonesia merupakan negara pertama di kawasan Asia Tenggara yang dipilih untuk implementasi NLT.

Nokia Life Tools (NLT) merupakan layanan yang memberikan kemampuan kepada masyarakat pedesaan untuk meningkatkaan  penghasilan dan kualitas hidup. Layanan ini menyediakan tiga konten utama berbasis SMS yakni pertanian, pendidikan  dan hiburan.

Untuk menikmati layanan ini, Nokia mengembangkan ponsel yang dilengkapi dengan aplikasi berbasis SMS untuk  mengakses layanan dimaksud. ”Untuk menikmati layanan NLT tidak diperlukan akses GPRS, layanan ini menggunakan SMS based,” kata Dieter Hay, VP Emerging Market, Nokia.

NLT pada mulanya dikembangkan di India. Ujicoba layanan dilakukan sejak November 2008. Ujicoba dilakukan pada beberapa negara bagian. Pada pertengahan tahun 2009, NLT dikembangkan diseluruh India. Implementasi di Indonesia tercatat sebagai negara pertama di luar India.

Pada peluncuran program berlangsung di Hotel Intercontinental, Jakarta, Rabu (4/11). Nokia memperkenakan lima ponsel entry level terbaru yakni N1280, N1616, N1800, N2220 dan N2690. Untuk mendukung pengembangan NLT secara global, Nokia berencana merilis 11 ponsel terbaru

VP Sales Nokia SEAP, Chriss Carr mengungkapkan lima ponsel terbaru akan dipasarkan secara global. Tiga ponsel seri N1xxx akan dijual dengan harga sekitar 39 dolar AS, sementara dua ponsel N2xxx akan dijual dengan harga sekitar 67 dolar AS. Selain lima ponsel terbaru, layanan NLT juga dapat diakses dengan menggunakan tiga ponsel yang telah beredar di pasaran yakni N2323 classic, N2330 dan N2700.

Video: Symbian UI Concept

This video was shown in Symbian CEO, Lee William’s keynote at SEE 2009. It’s supposed to be an artist’s concept of what Symbian UI will look like in the future. Note, this is apparently NOT in the Symbian roadmap.

It’s about a mashup of information – integration of social network/services.

…hmm a little rant…

I’m feeling extremely pessimistic about the future of Symbian. Watching the actual keynote itself, I’m left with a sense of apathy. It was all very vague, “we are going to make x better, we’re going to improve x”…HOW exactly? Maybe I didn’t get what he was talking about as I’m not a developer and don’t appreciate perhaps the things a developer might?

I missed the part where they should have talked about delivering the simplest, slickest, most innovative UI to the consumer. Above all the features they could add to Symbian, it means nothing if they’re trapped in a horrendous maze of menus, ugly option settings, and needless click after click.

In the keynote, Williams tries to make a dig at Jobs for claiming iPhone OS as having the most advanced mobile OS whilst lacking copy and paste.(maybe not most advanced OS but definitely UI wise)

What makes iPhone* and Apple in general “advanced” is their execution of their products and services. Apple products just works. It’s not necessarily the features they bring (you can always add features later, erm, copy and paste). It’s now all about pushing the user experience to the limit.

I’d like to be proven wrong with Symbian and see them some how (with Nokia) grab the top spot in people’s minds when you think of “advanced/state of the art/most innovative mobile OS”. Though it’s getting extremely hard to have such faith when we see Nokia’s high-end future siding towards “mobile computers” with Maemo.

 

Nokia e72 mai apare in noiembrie ?

Nu stiu daca nu v-ati plictisit, dar eu chiar m-am plictisit de asteptare. Tot citesc pe net din iunie ca o sa apare in septembrie, ba in octombrie, acum se pare ca apare in noiembrie. Oare? De ce ma intereseaza? Nu stiu. Poate pentru ca mi-a placut destul de mult Nokia E71 si e prima data cand astept un telefon sa apara. Desi posesor de iPhone, nu am fost un fan (decat in prima luna) si niciodata nu cred ca un gadget e atat de important incat sa muncesti 2-3 luni sau sa faci chiar credit! Citeam pe site-ul Nokia cateva specificatii si intr-adevar arata bine. Si totusi, de ce atata asteptare? Poate pentru ca are ceva probleme? sau vor sa sparga piata si asa dominata de iPhone…zic eu

Mai jos puteti vedea specificatiile luate de pe site-ul Nokia si care cred eu ca fac din Nokia e72 un business phone foarte bun…si totusi de ce nu apare o data?
